Inspiring Lyrics.

I wanted to do a post that was a little light of depth, but still something meaningful to me. So this is just something fun and easy I’m going to do.

Here are a few songs of which lyrics I just love.

1. “There will come a time you’ll see, with no more tears, and love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears. Get over your hill and see what you find there, with grace and your heart and flowers in your hair.”

~After the Storm, Mumford and Sons

2. “Take these broken wings and learn to fly. All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to arrive.”

~Blackbird, The Beatles

3. “I am thinking it’s a sign that the freckles in our eyes are mirror images and when we kiss they’re perfectly aligned. And I have to speculate that God himself did make us into corresponding shapes like puzzle pieces from the clay.”

~Such Great Heights, The Postal Service

4. “You’ve the yellow bird that I’ve been waiting for.”

~Poison Oak, Bright Eyes

5. “We’re walking into the fields, we’re walking into the forest, the moon is above us, up above. We’re holding hands in the rain, saying words like I love you, but do you love me?”

~Kick Drum Heart, The Avett Brothers

6. “The rhythm of my footsteps crossing flood lands to your door have been silenced forever more. The distance is quite simply much too far for me to row, it seems farther than ever before.”

~Transatlanticism, Death Cab

7.  “But you are the never ending sleep that I, I love to treat with this medicine I get from my, my closer friends.”

~All I See, Lydia

8. “I can say it, but you won’t you believe me. You say you do, but you don’t deceive me. It’s hard to know they’re out there, it’s hard to know that you still care.”

~Dead Hearts, Stars
